BIG ISLAND RAIL TRACK PLAN Vers. 2.0

This gives you a basic idea of the new track arrangement and the new smaller size layout for the Big Island Rail. Industries are noted on track plan. Plan is not to exact scale.
Train room is 8 x 10 feet with hidden staging tracks in a converted clothes closet. The staging consists of the continuation of the mainline "loop" with two long stub yard tracks set at an angle into one corner of the small closet representing North and the main Hilo freight yard and facilities. A small siding (five cars) splits off from the main and another two track stub yard is planned for the other corner of the closet representing theSouth island region including Kurtistown and Puna.
